Capparis odoratissima Jacq. (Capparaceae) pertenece al género Capparis, dentro del cual se encuentran alrededor de 250 especies distribuidas mayoritariamente en la India, aunque pueden ser encontradas en Centro América, Venezuela y Colombia.
